Our Pastor
Dr. Reverend Larry M. Dodson has been the senior and founding pastor of New Life Community since 2003. Before then, Pastor Dodson was the senior pastor at Brooks Chapel AME in Tulare, CA from 1995 to 2003. In 1994, Pastor Dodson founded First Visalia AME, which later was combined with Brooks Chapel AME after the previous pastor took an emergency retirement. Pastor Dodson started his ministry career as a Youth/Associate Pastor under the senior leadership of Rev. Grady L. Holland (his father) at St. Paul Pixley AME, who built 3 churches (St. Paul Flower AME and Brooks Chapel AME) in which he pastored for a combined 50 years.
Pastor has coined the phrase "You have to bring some to get some" in efforts to teach his members and guests the secret key to access of the kingdom of heaven.
Within the community, Pastor Dodson has received numerous awards and recognition from the local Police and Fire Departments where he has served as Chaplin for 8 years. He has also served on numerous boards and special appointed committees by local government officials.
Our Church
As a church, New Life Community Church consists of imperfect people from all races, cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds coming together to worship One God who has created us all in His own image. By all of our differences coming together in worship and praise we collectively embrace the true reflection as the church of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the power of God to change lives through cultivating transformation in the love of Jesus Christ. Then to equip and build emerging leaders of today and tomorrow. By doing this, it will allow believers to engage in the execution of Christ's kingdom mission, which is to save souls one at a time.
